The Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE SBR is a factory-registered NFA short-barreled rifle built around a 14.5-inch 5R-rifled barrel with Armornite finish and Gemtech’s GVAC gas-management upper to reduce blowback when fired suppressed. It pairs a 13.375-inch Midwest Industries M-LOK free-float handguard with a Magpul CTR adjustable stock, ambidextrous controls, and a flat-face trigger for a lightweight, maneuverable 5.56mm NATO platform. Because it ships as a registered SBR, transfer requires an approved ATF Form 4 and $200 tax stamp.
