Description
The name “Draco” comes directly from the Latin word for “dragon” or “serpent”.The “Dragon” Connection: Because the Draco is chambered in full-power 7.62x39mm rifle ammunition but uses ultra-short barrels (ranging from 6.25 to 12.25 inches), unburnt gunpowder explodes outside the muzzle. This creates a massive, bright muzzle flash—literally “breathing fire” like a dragon when fired.Romanian Roots & Dracula:
The firearm is manufactured in Cugir, Romania, by Cugir Arms Factory. Century Arms selected the name as a nod to both the weapon’s fiery blast and Transylvanian folklore (connecting to Dracula, which derives from the Order of the Dragon).
