Description
The AR-15 Bolt Carrier Group (BCG) is the functional heart of the rifle, responsible for chambering new rounds, firing them, and extracting empty casings. Choosing a high-quality BCG ensures your rifle cycles reliably under intense heat and pressure.
A standard AR-15 BCG contains five critical components working in unison:Bolt Carrier: The main outer housing that travels back and forth to cycle the rifle.Bolt Assembly: Contains the locking lugs, extractor, and ejector to capture and release rounds.Firing Pin: Ignites the primer when struck by the rifle’s hammer.Cam Pin: Rotates the bolt into place to securely lock it into the barrel.Cotter Pin: Retains the firing pin safely inside the assembly.
